Vacation Question Creation Competition
 

The challenge

When you are on holiday you can spot new facts and add them to your quizzing knowledge. 
 

In this competition we want you to turn 10 of these facts into questions.

We are looking for the best set of questions from this quizzers on holiday this Summer, and entries will be judged on the following criteria:
 

• The question construction (how well phrased are the questions?)

• The question accuracy (are there any errors?)

• The question precision (is there any ambiguity?)

• The question diversity (Is it a varied set?)

• The question appeal (Are the questions interesting?)

 

The rules

1. Questions must be submitted on the competition form https://forms.gle/tnRGJc8uegPDY2Z3A

2. Questions can only relate to a holiday/vacation taken between 15th April 2024 and 30th September 2024.

3. A competitor may submit no more than 3 ten question entries.

4. Questions must relate to things that you saw/spotted/learned while on holiday. For that reason we suggest that you capture photographic evidence of info boards, leaflets, blue plaques etc where possible. We will ask you on the form to tell us how you learned the fact.

5. We reserve the right to request the above evidence

6. AI tools may not be used in the writing of questions

7. The winners will be decided by a vote of non-competing All Things Quiz patreon members, and All Things Quiz admins. 

8. There will be a prize for the best overall set of questions, and if the overall winner is not an ATQ patreon, there will be a prize for the top ATQ patreon.

9. The top prize will have a maximum value of £30 and there will be no cash alternative.

10. Entrants grant All Things Quiz the right to use all questions on All Things Quiz media channels.

11. All Things Quiz reserves the right to vary these competition rules at any time.

12. In all things, the decisions of the All Things Quiz admins are final.
